For ten years, Andy has worked with the Maine Council of Churches on our environmental justice programs, including the Climate Change Initiative, creating Earth Care Teams in congregations in Maine, representing the Council in the Environmental Priorities Coalition, leading our environmental health and toxics initiative in 2008 and many other projects.  Andy led and organized a three year project with MOFGA under MCC's Food and Faith Program, called "Be a Good Apple" which worked to connect local congregations with Community-Supported Agriculture and Fisheries.  Andy recently created MCC's "Fishes and Loaves" program, a 4 week study for churches that looks at the impact of climate change and the economy on Maine's fishing community.  Andy is a leader of the "Green Sneakers Project, a door-to-door neighborhood campaign created to motivate local, personal actions that address the global challenge of climate change and deteriorating air quality. She is known throughout Maine and beyond as a passionate and compassionate advocate for eco-justice.
